Denver New Year’s Eve 2020 Event Guide

New decade, who dis? 😎

Another year has come and gone. No matter how your 2019 was, it’s time to celebrate the good times and ring in the new year with positivity. Say hello to 2020 raging on the dance floor, enjoying champagne and celebrating what’s to come!

Make your last night of the 2010s memorable at one of these top parties in Denver.

Decadence

The Colorado Convention Center is transformed into a massive warehouse rave for a 2-day New Year’s Eve celebration. This indoor music festival features top electronic names across the genre spectrum, from the king of bass, Bassnectar to the king of trance, Tiesto and an epic mashup GiganticNGHTMRE.

The Glitch Mob at Temple Denver

The Glitch Mob is doing a special NYE set at Temple Nightclub, champagne toast included. They have a VIP Experience ticket that includes an open bar and high-end small bites from Dark Steele Gastro Arts. This is where I will be ringing in the new decade. 

Leftover Salmon at Mission Ballroom 

Colorado loves their bluegrass, which is why Leftover Salmon’s 30 Year’s Under The Big Top Celebration with Karl Denson’s Tiny Universe is taking over Denver’s newest music venue The Mission Ballroom. Experience the first-ever New Year celebration at this iconic new venue built from the ground up by AEG.

Umphrey’s McGee at the Fillmore 

Jam band fans can get their New Year’s run fun with 4 days of Umphrey’s McGee at The Fillmore Auditorium starting Dec. 27. The true heads can even make it a 5-day extravaganza with a Doom Flamingo set at Cervantes on Dec. 29. New Year’s Eve features Kyle Hollingsworth Band as direct support, giving Cheese lovers something to enjoy since String Cheese is not hosting a NYE show. 

Moon Boots, J.Phlip and more at Vinyl 

Vinyl’s main room is gonna be a house party with 4 national touring acts: Moon Boots, Dirybird’s J.Phlip, Durante and DJ Holographic. Get your tickets ahead of time for only $25. 

Flume at the Belly Up 

This event is not in Denver, but making the trek to Aspen for 2-days of Flume at the Belly Up would be a magical way to bring in the new year. This intimate venue set in one of the most beautiful mountain towns of Colorado should be on every music lover’s bucket list. You could even wake up to some skiing or snowboarding for your day one of 2020. 

Slug Wife at The Black Box

Denver’s favorite venue for underground bass music The Black Box is coming in hot with a 2-day Slug Wife takeover in their main room. NYE features Chalky, K.L.O, Reso, and Bunker, then closes out with a b2b set of Slug Wife all stars. 

Get Loose at Techno Taco Tuesday at Tennyson 

New Year’s Eve is on a Tuesday this year, which means you can taco Tuesday it up at Tennyson’s and then get down to techno. This event is free and starts at 7pm. Be sure to arrive early if you want to hit the taco bar. 

Melvin Seals and JGB at 10 Mile Music in Frisco 

Melvin Seals is a pioneer in the jam community who has toured with the Jerry Garcia Band for 18 years. Make the drive to Frisco for a NYE mountain escape if you are a dead head. 

ESCORT and Funk Hunk at Ophelia’s Electric Soapbox 

Enjoy a live singer with disco house beats for your NYE celebration with ESCORT at Ophelias. You can reserve a table and enjoy dinner beforehand, and a champagne toast is included with your ticket. 

Opulence New Year’s at Sip 

Welcome the 2020s with a roaring 20s themed party at Sip. For $120 you can start the night with a 4-course meal, or for $60 you can just enjoy the nightlife portion featuring live jazz music. 

Beat The Clock at Denver Milk Market 

At 4pm, drinks are $4 and increase by $1 each hour until the ball drop. This is a great option to start off your night and meet friends for food and drinks before your next party. 

Resolutions New Years Eve Party at McNichols Civic Building

This black-tie event offers an open bar, so dress up and roll in the new decade in a classy party featuring 3 rooms with multi-genre music. 

New Year’s Eve at Union Station 

Take your pick of 3 parties happening inside Denver’s iconic Union Station. There is a silent disco with 3 DJs, a 20s themed speakeasy party with small bites, and a table service option. 

REVELution at Revel Social 

Ring in 2020 at Revel Social’s NYE party with a champagne toast and a surprise guest DJ.
